Vespa Spokane Update, v.2 |
|
Saturday, 17 February 2007 |
Camp now, ?? later Vespa afficianados (of the modern bikes, especially), time for a little celebration! We'd been worried about the future of our hometown shop for several months , but after meeting with the new owner of Camp Motorsports today, all seems assured. Here's what we know right now: Dale Stevens, the new owner of Camp Motorsports, wants everyone to know that they're fully committed to the Vespa line, and continuing sales and service in the Spokane area. In fact, Dale says, they're aware of some of the troubles locals have had with slow or difficult servicing of bikes in the past, and pledge to improve things as his new dealership moves forward. Support for the Minions and local rides? You bet. Exciting things for the dealership and for Vespa sales in the near future? Yup, but we can't talk about that just yet. A sponsored breakfast ride like last year, maybe as soon as St. Patrick's day weekend? Quite possible. Like we said, good news. So, pay no mind to the fact that the big Vespa banner is down, or that there's only one or two bikes on the showroom floor. Dale's got a big bunch of 2006 bikes in the back, and even more 2007's on the way. Spring can't get here soon enough!
