![]() Brian's "wrap up" pose Mark was there, as were Brian, Naci and Rick. After a little bit of meet and greet, including congratulations to Naci on his new son Kaya, the group pushed off for what Rick termed a South Hill “Mansion Ogle” ride that covered most of that area’s neighborhoods. A couple of surprises – one bad, one good – were in-store. Regarding the former, Nanci and Mark had a minor collision arriving at one of the ride’s many stop signs; thankfully, no-one was hurt, but Nanci’s bike did come away with its first minor leg-shield dent. As for the good stuff, neither Nanci or Brian had ever visited tiny Pioneer Park, which features spectacular views of the City - especially at sunset when the group happened to be there. (Mark offered his own, more colorful history of Pioneer Park, but you’ll have to ask him in-person.) ![]() Nanci's little dent... All in all, a fantastic way to wrap up the first regular season of night rides by the Minions Scooter Club. Look for a story soon that tallys up the mileage, lists some of the best places visited and stops made, and recounts the sights, highlights and photographs taken over the course of twenty-three weeks of great scooter riding in beautiful Spokane, Washington. It’s been great fun so far. Late-season Saturday rides are being planned, but we’ll take the time now, as did the group this week, to toast the 2006 season! September 21st Ride - Flash Photos |
