Pizza stop
Pizza at David's
At least one Spokane Scoot attendee tracked distance over the weekend, and reported over 200 miles traveled, including group rides and side trips to wineries.

Small wonder that when choosing between rides described as “long and scenic” and “short and urban,” the small group on Thursday picked the latter. Rick even relinquished ride lead responsibilities to Brian – real proof of just how tired he was, at least.

Brian came through…mostly. There were a few ugly hiccups where half the group got left behind within one block of the starting line, then split up again riding up Maple, plus one memorable event where Brian dropped anchor turning onto the Palouse Highway. Excepting those minor issues, it was another great Minion ride, and as far as what the group seemed to be in the mood for, a perfect loop.

For the record, the group rode up High Drive to 57th, Glenrose Road to 8th Avenue, Freya to Trent, Trent to Hamilton, then on to David’s Pizza for slices and beer.

One new guest, Cindy, was present, and Rick’s wife Charlotte made a rare showing. Collin shared news of his upcoming one-month trip to Japan, and pledged to send the group lots of cool souvenirs.

Or at least that’s how we remember it. Being worn out from the long Spokane Scoot weekend, who knows for sure? dingbat
