 This explains a lot... If Conky had started tonight’s ride, the word might’ve been “Tease.” Why? When the roundup began at the Baby Bar, there were four regulars plus three new bikes and three new faces on-hand. But when the actual ride started, just three scoots left the corral. No complaints, though. A little high overcast helped keep the heat at bay, and Rick was feeling a bit lonely for the Turnbull Wildlife Refuge, so the ride was one of the longer and more spectacular of the Minion loops. Mort and John did their best to keep pace, and a short pit stop at the general store along Williams Lake provided a chance to chat and admire the scenery. The real downer of the evening was news that Brian (a.k.a. The Lorax) isn’t feeling up to snuff these days, and may require a little routine surgery. Let’s all hope that knives won’t be necessary, and he’ll soon be back to his regular self. In any event, Brian thinks he’ll pretty scarce until then. Drop him a line for more, and let’s all wish him well. On the other hand, the rest of the night’s tease equation seemed promising, i.e., Kim showed up once more – pink Stella and sidecar included – along with two friends riding a very cool, early 60’s BMW with sidecar (they also own vintage Allstates, by the way). Will they return for future rides? We hope so; nice folks, all, and entire group promised to show up for this month’s Spokane Scoot .
