Cycle stalls: There's more!
From The Examiner via Hell for Leather, comes news that Denver is giving serious consideration to joining cities like San Franscisco and Vancouver, BC in designating scores of dedicated motorcycle/scooter parking stalls downtown.

Of course, here in Spokane, we've got a pilot program of our own, featuring around 16 dedicated stalls - pretty good given that Denver is only considering 20. Reportedly, ours are located downtown on:

• The east side of Post Street, across from City Hall
• The south side of Main Street, just east of Red Robin
• The north side of Main Street, just west of Aunties Bookstore
• The south side of Spokane Falls Boulevard, next to the Wheatland Bank

Like Denver and other cities, Spokane is exploring whether the use of under-utilized and/or "end-cap" space can help bring in additional revenue on top of helping relieve congestion. We hope it works, for Spokane and for Denver. And getting a stall or two on each block, even if they're end-cap space, seems like the only way to fairly gauge use and give two-wheeled transportation parity with the four-wheeled variety.

Let's fill 'em up: ride, park, repeat. dingbat
