Sean pix
Bottle cap or main jet?
Anyone who's spent much time around scooters in these parts has at one time or another witnessed Sean Nicol working his magic on a broken bike. He's been part of the Spokane scooter scene for as long as he's been old enough to ride, and even though he's part of the 2% gang, we've always regarded him as the most experienced classic scooter mechanic anywhere in the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area.

And since two-stroke motors are crazy-simple mechanically but can be crazy-complicated to get running properly, we're big fans of experience.

Sean's a busy guy, and it's always been tough to get a broken bike on his schedule. But we got a call from him recently with good news: he's set up a larger shop area behind his South Hill home, with the intent to build a little side-business repairing and restoring vintage euro-scoots.

So, if you're A) A two-stroke nut, riding a Vespa, Lambretta, or something more exotic like a Mitsubishi Pigeon, and B) Not attracted by the thought of long hours wrenching, troubleshooting and cursing that deceptively-simple classic bike of yours, Sean might just be your guy.

If so, Sean says get in touch, or like us, recommend him to others. He's at: nicol_rig (at) yahoo (dot) com. dingbat

P.S.: Of course, new Vespas are a whole 'nother thing...for those, we're big fans of Kevin at Vespa of Spokane.
