 A small turnout for tonight's ride turned into an excuse to explore a bit - and find some gorgeous countryside!Alica and Amy were away (Alica's scoot is in the shop for maintenance), but Rick and Brian met up at Empyrean, and after a bit of catching up on club stuff, left on a long afternoon ride. Here’s a bit of the route traveled: ...Downtown to Peaceful Valley, through Indian Canyon to Garden Springs, across Highway 2 to Thorpe, left on Spotted Road, right on Melville Road to Four Lakes, then a long, beautiful loop through rolling hills to Cheney; from there to Marshall, to Eagle Ridge, up Hatch to Jonny’s house on the South Hill. Whew! Thanks to Jonny and Robyn for opening their door to a couple of scooterists arriving unannounced, and for the visit that lasted until dusk – just in time to return home for our dim-bulbed Vespas. Look for next Thursday’s ride time and departure spot soon. Hope we’ll see a few new faces!  |
