![]() Snowshoe pix from Rick Sigh. We've got amazing, fun stuff to do over here, no doubt. Mark says he's been skiiing three days a week. Rick and Charlotte have been backcountry snowshoeing, and hiking along the Spokane river. Paul and Marla are skipping out for two weeks in Hawaii soon. But as far a scootering goes, it's been a long, tough winter. That's why when we get a hint of spring, or correspondence from friends in warmer climes, it's exciting. We'll enjoy scootering vicarously, maybe by reading Orin's SOS blog, or checking out the for-sale or rally photos posted on Scoot.net. More recently, Bryce called to chat, saying they've been planning the annual trek to the Las Vegas High Rollers Weekend, where the 2% Club is working with the Pharaohs in setting up the gymkhana course. Nice. The thing that's really got us thinking about the 2008 riding season is a little e-mail correspondence from Vince Rowley and Robert "Doc" Morgan from Vespa Club of Seattle. They're already planning out the year over there, and got in touch wanting to know when this year's Spokane Scoot will take place. Talk about a jump-start to our scootin' consciousness! So, a little conference among the club officers and members later, here we go ... we really liked the timing of last year's event, so we're on for doing it again. Our 2008 Spokane Scoot will be held September 12-14 (Friday night through Sunday, of course). Need a little something to look forward to, if you're stuck indoors somewhere in the Northwest, snowed-in or otherwise? A little spring tonic, as it were? Plan to join us at this year's Spokane Scoot! |
