Wow. From what seemed like an endless winter to something approaching summer in one week's time, and cooresponding perfectly with the first official Thursday night ride of 2006!

Just four riders showed - Rick, Alica, Amy and Brian - but all were rewarded with perfect riding weather and a nice loop through Peaceful Valley and downstream along the Spokane River in all its springtime glory. Plus, the weather was warm enough that no winter coats or gloves were even needed.

The group met at Empyrean Coffee and caught up on the latest news, including word on Colin (he's upgrading his engine), Marc (he's doing well in Seattle and may be available for weekend rides here soon), and the website (which Rick is piecing together as of this writing). Everyone was a "go" for another Spokane Scoot event this year, now scheduled for July 21-23rd.

Barring a turn for the worse in the weather department, next week's ride is definitely a "go" for the following date, place and time:

Spring is here, folks, and it's already providing glorious scenery for scooter-touring in Spokane. Show up or bring a guest, but let's ride!
