Mark, at Bird Woman Falls Most of us see Club Veep “Minion Mark” pretty frequently, but for those that don’t ride as often as they should – and maybe miss out on some of the stories we get to hear – we’re sharing this item.
Background: At last spring’s ride scheduling meeting, someone in the group suggested a weekend trip to Glacier National Park, but since nobody had ever tried it on a scooter, the idea never made it onto the calendar. Enter Mark, who’d been there before and thought it might be a nice way to try out his nearly-perfect, barn-find P125. On a recent weekend, he and a relative trailered two bikes to Glacier, camped, and rode the entire famously-scenic climb. Wrote Mark:
“Heading out of town for the weekend so I thought I would do some catch-up on some pictures I wanted to share with fellow members. Fact is, riding to the top of the ‘Going to the Sun Highway’ can be accomplished quite easily, even on my P125. I’ve included a few other pictures we took while hiking peaks along the Continental Divide, which we accessed using the new free shuttle program in Glacier. These 12-person buses (not the orange Fords) will deposit you at any roadside trailhead or attraction and pick you up as late as 9 pm, which was great for our loop hikes.”
So now that Mark’s done the reconnaissance, we expect more than lip service to a Glacier trip next year! Check out his photos below.
