update - October 30th: Steve has been released from his care facility and is currently living with good friends to tend after his needs. A fantastic friend has become State Certified as his caregiver and will be working with Steve through his physical therapy and recovery. Steve is now walking and can travel some stairs with assistance. He is continuing to gain in his verbal and motor skills, putting on some healthier weight and his mood is high. He also recently visited the shop to reclaim some of his CD's from the mechanic's music selection! Future fundraisers are being planned to continue to help Steve with his medical bills. Thanks to everyone for all of your support and kind words. On Sunday, June 22nd, our mechanic Steve Sellers was admitted to a local hospital with heart trouble. He has suffered additional setbacks since his admittance, and it will be some time before we know the full impact of this health crisis. Steve's friends and family have reached out to the scootering community to ask for your support. Steve has no health insurance and his medical bills are sure to be considerable. Your thoughts and generosity towards Steve's recovery are greatly appreciated. website links with the latest on Steve's progress: link to Steve's donation site at ScooterRelief.org Save Our Steve! - Steve Touched Me Here The Scooter Scoops blog on Steve Sellers

Situated
in the heart of Southeast, Ptown Scooters is Portland's premier classic
scooter repair and restoration shop. We specialize in Vespa, Lambretta
and Stella Scooters. We are also the Pacific Northwest's retailer of new scooters from Italjet USA, CPI and Tomberlin (Sachs) and Southeast Portland's retailer of new mopeds from TOMOS. Ptown
Scooters now carries Corazzo Scootergear and has the broadest selection
of any dealer in the Portland area. We are the exclusive dealer in Portland
for the new Bomber style armored flight jackets, and the new Women's line,
the Women's 5.0. After
many years of wrenching on area scoots out of a small, but humble garage,
Ptown Scooters opened its' doors in the summer of 2000 in the industrial
section of NW near the Fremont Bridge. Later in 2003, a building sale
required a temporary relocation to N. Portland along the Interstate MAX
line. Happily, our current space was ready for us in early 2005. Our Division
St. neighbors include Stumptown Coffee, Pix Patisserie and The Hedge House. Check out our sweet ads! (.pdf format)
