Wimpy, or Uncle Gherkin? OK, it's recovery time. A little rest from massively busy weeks of event preparation. A bit of cleanup and scooter maintenance from a whole lot of riding. Some organizing and budget-balancing. And for some, a bit of Visine™ and lots of strong, strong coffee. But work for our biggest and most successful version of Spokane Scoot won't be finished until we've posted a few things to mark the occasion and remind our fine guests of the good times we shared. We've got an event recap under way. We're working on a few videos of the event, and expect to post those soon. Between the morning TV coverage and the daily and weekly newspaper stories, this year's 'Scoot got some pretty great media exposure - so we'll round up as much of that as possible, too. We'll have another round of sponsor thanks (couldn't do it without 'em!), and of course, there'll be some club and personal thank-you's we'll extend. In short, there's a lot more to come. Until then, check out a few of the rally snapshots already posted on the mighty Scoot.net, and if you've got any, please post your own snapshots there. Recovery time. Better get back to it! |

Got a scoot? Spokane Scoot! As listed in our events calendar, on Scoot.net , and even in Scoot! Magazine, our fourth annual Spokane Scoot is scheduled and rarin' to go, Friday thru Sunday, September 12-14. Local or regional friends, old and new, you're all invited.
Spokane Scoot's a classic-style, laid-back rally, including long scenic rides, great eats, local beer, cool prizes, games, live music, a city-lights night ride and more.
Sponsors? You bet. We've got lead club sponsor Vespa of Spokane, plus club sponsors Lineback & Leinen P.S., Thomas Hammer Coffee, RPM Motorsports, Neato Burrito/Baby Bar, and South Hill Spinal Care. 'Scoot sponsors include Corrazo, EcoTech, Empire Cycle, Scooterworks, Cycle Gear, Red Bull, Sandy Singh Massage and Northern Quest Casino.
Check out this year's flyer, itinerary and ride maps below. We've also got a bit of the media coverage from last year posted, too.
Gas prices strangling your travel plans? We feel your pain, and have lined up a bunch of clubbie in-home, free accommodations to help make things better. Get in touch with Scott if you'd like to take advantage.
On the other hand, gas prices seem to have made the scooter population around here explode. 50-plus riders at last year's 'Scoot...hope you'll be part of an even bigger event this year!

Hammin' for the Hamster rally Six-plus hours is a long way to drive these days, but for a well-run rally in a way-cool town, it's likely to be worth it.
At least that's the report back from Rick, Charlotte, Paul and Marla, the four clubbies who attended last weekend's "Hamster Run," held waaay up in the Northwest corner of Washington - Bellingham, to be precise.
Bellingham lifers often refer to their town as “The ‘Ham,” thus the rally name and hamster-wheel logo the local club, Scooters of Bellingham, adopted for the event. This was the third year for the rally, and the weather, the food, the rides, and the turnout by all accounts was the best yet. |
